So its been awhile since I was on here. Not to much has been going on.
We had a visit from Aunt Lucille and Faye from MI. We had a family get together at Linda and Gary's new house in Beverly Hills. NICE place. Everyone was there but Sabrina, she was competing with her horses at the state fair in Tampa. Of course we missed not having Uncle Ernie with us but he was there in thought and memory. We had a few good laughs over some of his old pranks he pulled.
Jonathon is reading more and more everyday. He truly amazes me. I guess with it being so long ago I don't remember EJ reading so much in kindergarten. Of course there wasn't the state test that every child has to take which they didn't have when EJ was in kindergarten. Out of 40 sight words Jonathon knows 32, not bad for first time around I think.
Jon is doing well. He is about to teach at the college for a couple of days in March. He loves to teach and loves being the "boss" at work. It is sicking that someone actually loves his job.
I am doing the same. Helping Diane plan her wedding and trying to keep her nerves together. March 14th is coming up fast. The bridal shower is this weekend, should be ALOT of fun. I think Moose is more excited about the wedding then Diane is.
OK that is a little update on our homestead. Not much going on. Till later...Love to all.....

This week at the homestead...
It has been a very quite week on the homestead this week. Jon took several days off, for hunting and just because he could, and we did nothing. We had plenty to do but didn't feel like doing any of it. We are bad I know.
Jonathon is currently laughing his head off watching "Home Alone 3". I never have heard him laugh so hard. Guess I will have to buy him the DVD so he will have it. I think we all ready have 1 and 2.
Going to take Jonathon back to the doctors tomorrow to pass the idea of high blood sugar causing his nose bleeds. Don't remember if its in my other post but TJ, a distant cousin of Jonathon's, has the same problem and they found it was high blood sugar that was causing the nose bleeds. We shall see. Another visit to the doctors. Allergy shots start this week too so that should be alot of fun.
This weather has to make up its mind. We were in the high teens 3 days ago and today we were at the park in shorts and t-shirts sweating. Now for sure we will all be sick again I am sure. Maybe the doctor will go ahead and give me something for Jonathon tomorrow since I know it will be coming.
OK off to get Jonathon off to bed and then peace and quite for mom :) Hope everyone is doing great. Until later....love to all............

The day of the hunt
Well Jon went on his first officially hunting trip with the guys from work. He GOT a pig!!!! About 50 pounds so not to bad for the first time. He froze his booty off cause he has never been hunting and didn't have the proper gear but he had fun. All the guys that went got a pig, about 6 guys. One managed to get a 250 pound hog. It is great that one of the guys family will be dressing the hog out so we don't have to worry about all that yucky stuff.
Jonathon and I had a nice day at home. We started to finally put the living room back together from the painting. Figured I needed the clothes baskets that was holding all my junk in them. Rearranging and throwing things away are always nice in my book. Jon will be happy. Pictures go on the walls tomorrow or the next day I think.
Jonathon has his first field trip on Weds. He is excited. He gets to ride a school bus which he has never been on before. They even get bag lunches from the cafeteria so that is exciting to. To be 6 again.
Fisher is in hog heaven, or should I say dog heaven, right now chewing on a steak bone he waited so patiently for after dinner. I swear this dog knows when the grill is one he is getting food off it. He is one smart dog. Pain in my ass sometimes, but is a cool dog anyways. He is a mommas dog.
Took a trip over to see Aunt Esther this past Saturday. Faye and Aunt Lucille are down from MI so we had a family get together. It was so much fun to look at the old pictures and see pictures of granny when she was a child and when she was a teenager. I miss her so much. Aunt Esther looks so much like her its like looking in a mirror at her. It is a comforting feeling. I have to make more trips over there now that I know how easy it is to get there. Straight shot I-4 to exit 114. I can do that. There is a spring there that I can't wait to take Jonathon to so he can see all the manatees. Aunt Esther said there are a lot in the spring.
OK going to try and get caught up in reading my new Nicholas Sparks book. Trying to read one book a month to get back into one of my old habits.
Tell later....Love to all.......

Friday night
So its Friday night and I sit here at the computer. Jon is on his and I am on the laptop. What a night we are having huh? Did talk to EJ earlier, he might have a job to tied him over till he decides what he is going to do. Keep fingers crossed.
Got cold here again today. Hot one day cold the next. I will never get better with my bronchitis this way.
Going to Aunt Esther's Saturday to visit her and some family from out of town. Should be fun, I hope. Jonathon better behave or he is in trouble. I just hope we can find Aunt Esther's house. I have only been there once and mom and I got lost several times. We shall see.
Just found out a friend's mom passed tonight. Sad for Nancy and family but happy for mom cause she is with the Lord now.
This will be a short night...not much going on. Till later....love to all

What day of the week is this?
So how the heck is everyone doing? Here will, I have been sicker then a dog. I have, or had, serve bronchitis and I still am getting over it. This cough just won't go away. I would love to sleep in my bed instead of upright in the recliner. Least it seems like the drugs are working.
How do you love this weather? In the high teens 3 days ago, in the mid 80's with AC on today and then we go back to a cold snap on Friday. Love this crazy weather, no wonder everyone is so sick.
Jonathon had his award ceremony this morning for his student of the month. He was so proud standing up there when they were reading about him. My little ham. He even had mommy and daddy eat breakfast with him after the ceremony.
Finally got my Christmas pictures ordered off my camera tonight. I am only a little late. I probably still wouldn't have it done if I hadn't ran out of room on my memory card today. OOPPS, oh well.
Talked to EJ last night, he is doing good. He is helping at a local fire dept. to kill some time so he is meeting so new friends, male and female ;) Getting him out of the house till he gets his job back or goes into the military, which ever comes first.
OK, time for medicines and then off to bed for another night of coughing.
Hope everyone is well....love to all.....

UGH....kids and dogs
If these two don't stop I am going to go insane!!!!!!!!!! They act like brothers. What one has the other wants. I swear they are out to get me. Why do they act up more when I am sick? I just want to go to get my PJ's on and crawl into bed and sleep for about 3 days till this cough is over. The joys of being a stay at home mom, no days off. Oh well, guess you got to take the good for the bad.
Till later...love to all

January 22nd, 9th Anniversary
Well it was 9 years ago today that I married my best friend. I sure have put him though hell and he still stays around....he must love me ;) I know I love him more today then I did on our first date 1/31/83. Darn am I old.
OH I have a question, who or what the hell moved FL to the north? It was in the teens this morning and frost was everywhere. I made Jon take Jonathon to school as an anniversary present, love you honey.
Well to some news for Mr. Jonathon. He was chosen as student of the month!! Hard to believe but its true. Got the letter from the principal and invite to the breakfast for when he gets his award. He is very proud of himself to say the least.
We went to a new doctor today to see if we can get any answers for Jonathon's nosebleeds. He seems very nice and hopefully we will get some results in a 2 weeks or so. We are now checking to see if its allergies.
Jon got all the walls in the living room and hallway painted. Now I just have to get off my butt and but the stuff back in the living room. I kinda like bare walls, but you know me I LOVE my pictures of my family everywhere so they will be going up soon.
EJ is doing good. I talked to him a few minutes tonight. He was hanging out with some friends.
Think I will end here tonight...love to everyone

Almost the end of January....
and I haven't posted since November. I am up to date as usual. Well made it though Christmas. It was nice and quite. Jonathon loved all his Speed Racer stuff. Santa was good to him. We have our newest member to our family, Fisher. He is a 9 month old black lab. He is a good dog, usually. He has fit nicely into our family. He is my shadow. EJ drove down for a week at Christmas. It seems wried for him to be driving from his house to ours, but his is all grown up now. He should be enlisting soon. Will keep you posted on that. Will be doing more blogging then to keep everyone up to date on him.
Jon is now an official Sgt. at work. It took effect Jan. 12 but he got the strips in December. He is loving his new "power". Basically he is doing the same job he did before but with one or two added jobs and must sign more forms. We all know how by the book his is.
Jonathon is doing great. Got his report card the other day and he got all passing grades. They don't get a letter grade in kindergarten so there are no A's, B's....
OK I hope everyone is doing great and all my love to everyone....
